Whether you are deeply invested in the topic of the Church and racism or are curious to dive in deeper, Andy Bitz will be leading a learning group on this topic this Fall.

This book study and discussion group will engage with The Color of Compromise by Jemar Tisby, to examine the intersection between the American church and racism. This book is an historical survey (not a comprehensive analysis), revealing specific examples of a black-white racial divide in the American church from the 1600’s up to present day. The goal of the book is not to create guilt nor historical villains, but to spark conversation and further study.  Our discussions of the book will lean on listening and learning in order to be a part of fostering more inclusive environments in the future.
