When: 7/13 at 10am
Where: Pine Grove Furnace State Park
Why: Hiking is fun. Scouts can earn credit towards the Summertime Fun elective adventure (attend 3 total events between the last Pack Meeting and the end of August to earn the beltloop or pin). Well also try our best to incorporate as many requirements as possible from the various hiking and outdoor adventures for all ranks.
Trail: Koppenhaver Trail (easy - 1 mile loop) and Pole Steeple Trail (difficult - 0.75 miles) after lunch for those that are interested
Lunch: Pack a lunch. Well be eating lunch together at the picnic area near the parking lot after the first trail.
What to bring: Six essentials (ask your scout if youre not sure what they are), lunch, sturdy shoes, light backpack to carry your necessities
Parking:
The lake by the parking lot also has a small beach for day use if youd like to pack a swim suit and enjoy the water.
