The book of Genesis is an amazing display of God’s creativity and faithfulness. God’s beautiful, life-giving world is corrupted by sin as humans repeatedly define good and evil on their own terms. But God does not break promises – no amount of rebellion can derail his plan to bless creation. What was meant for evil, God intends for good.

This summer, our staff will be preaching a series on Genesis. In conjunction with the sermon series, we'd love to have children, teens, and adults from McBIC share creative works that focus on the passages for each week. We'd love to have a new piece to share each Sunday, and we'll keep each piece on display for the remainder of the summer. The work can be in any medium you choose—painting, sculpture, writing, music, or other non-visual art forms!—and you can sign up for as many weeks as you'd like.

Please bring your piece to the church office by Thursday at noon prior to the Sunday your work will be displayed. If you have any questions, please feel free to connect with Cindy ([email protected]) or Sherry at the church office (717-697-0682 or [email protected]). Happy creating!
