This on-site simulation day is the exciting culminating activity to our BizTown curriculum, in which students will be applying important elements of career development, economics, work readiness, teamwork skills, financial literacy skills, and business management skills learned in class to run a town for the day!

Why is having Friends and Family Volunteers SO IMPORTANT for this field trip?
To ensure a successful visit, we need 18 (minimum) to 22 (maximum) adult volunteers to accompany us to JA BizTown and help facilitate the BizTown simulation activities in each of the 12 businesses. The role of the volunteer will be to provide guidance to the students as they operate their businesses.

What is the Field Trip Day Time Commitment if I Volunteer?
8:15 am - 2 pm (For those who completed the online training modules)
8:50 am - 2 pm (For those who complete the training at the JA BIZTOWN facility)
*Students will depart from the Middle School at 8:35 am and will arrive at the JA BizTown facility by 9:15 am.

Non-District Employee Volunteers who offer to assist during the on-site visit (field trip) are required to submit Act 34 and Act 151 clearances and undergo a tuberculosis examination as outlined in Policy # 916 - Volunteers.

Thank you for your interest in participating in this once in a lifetime opportunity with your child!
