Clinic Info - 6 week clinic starting 4/9/2017 and ending 5/20/2017.
A 1 hour, 3 practice per week Technique & Conditioning Clinic will be offered with 9 practices per week to choose from. These are:
3:30 to 4:30 PM: Sundays.
4:30 to 5:30 PM: Monday through Thursday
7:00 to 8:00 PM: Monday through Thursday
This clinic is designed for LPAC Black Level and Black Advanced Level swimmers or Summer-only swimmers who are 9-14 years old and have legal proficiency in a minimum of 3 strokes. Younger or older swimmers may be able to participate in this clinic but only with coaches approval (see approval process below).
The main focus of this clinic will be to prepare experienced swimmers to begin their summer season through more challenging sets designed to build their endurance. Key elements of stroke and turn technique, as well as proper usage of the clock and understanding consistency within sets will be incorporated into these swimming sessions for all participants.
All swimmers registered for this clinic will be subject to final coaches approval. If the coaches feel that a swimmer who has registered for this Clinic would best be served in one of our other clinics, we will contact you to let you know of their decision. You will then have the opportunity to sign up for the other clinic.
REGISTRATION:
Registration for the 3 practice per week Technique & Conditioning Clinic is open immediately to all swimmers born on or before 6/1/2009 (9 and over). Registration will close on 4/5/2018.
We'll conduct the 3 practice per week Technique & Conditioning Clinic Sunday through Thursday, enabling you to pick the practices that work best for you. In the registration form below you will rank your preference (from 0-5) for which practices you want to attend. We'll try our best to give everyone their top preferences. If we end up with no lane space or too few swimmers in a lane in a given practice, having these preferences will enable us to shift those swimmers to their next preferred practice without having to contact you to find out what it is.
If your swimmer has a birth date that is 6/2/2009 or later (is under 9), you must receive coach's approval to register for this clinic. Please e-mail Coach Jess at lpaccoachjess@gmail.com, requesting that approval. Please include your swimmer’s age and reason for your request. If a summer only swimmer, please also include your summer team. If approved, you will be given a code that you will need to register your swimmer.
If the coaches feel that a swimmer who has registered for the Technique & Conditioning Clinic would best be served in one of our other clinics, we will contact you to let you know of their decision. You will then have the opportunity to sign up for the other clinic.
The Technique & Conditioning Clinic can accommodate up to 38 swimmers. Once we have received 38 registrations, applicants will fill out the wait list registration at timetosignup.com/lpacgators. We will explore all options to try to accommodate all interested and eligible swimmers.
Final schedules will be published no later than 4/8/2018.
PAYMENT AGREEMENT POLICY
All registration cancelations must be submitted before registration closes at midnight, the night of 4/5/2018. LPAC enters into contract commitments with facilities for lane time and coaches for their time based on your registration. Therefore your registration on file at the time registration closes is your commitment to pay the clinic fee. There will be no discount for practices that swimmers are unable to attend.
The final price of the clinic will be determined based on the number of swimmers that register. Currently we anticipate the price of the Technique & Conditioning Clinic to be in the range of $125-$175.
