About Laying Veterans' Wreaths on Wreaths Across America Day

Thank you for your interest in helping to lay "Remembrance Wreaths" on Wreaths Across America Day, Saturday, December 14, 2019! This is a day that has been set aside annually to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor and teach about our veterans: cemeteries, monuments, parks -- anywhere we can pay tribute to their sacrifices.

What should I expect as a Volunteer on Wreaths Across America Day?

As a volunteer, you'll join hundreds of thousands of your fellow Americans that donate their time to place wreaths on the markers of fallen heroes. Volunteers then "say their name" to ensure that the legacy of duty, service, and sacrifice of each veteran is never forgotten. There is no age limit to volunteer and, in fact, we encourage families to come and share in this patriotic experience!

We are very fortunate to have so many great Patriots supporting us for Wreaths Across America at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery -Thank You for Playing a Part!

Parking on the Cemetery is reserved for Ceremony Participants, Gold Star Families, VIPs and Dignitaries, along with Handicapped - placard required. Shuttle buses will run from 3 different areas, as they did last year, at 10:00 am. Handicapped shuttle buses are available at the White Lot, in the center of post, at the Community Club. There will be handicap transportation via golf carts on the Cemetery, to the Memorial and Cemetery Sections. Please be patient, as our Volunteer Team works to safely get our mobility limited folks where they need to go.

Seating at the PA Veterans Memorial is first come, first served, aside from reserved seating for participants, Gold Star families, VIPs and Dignitaries.
Please bring blankets or seat cushions to sit on. Dress warm, as the Ceremony is outside.

No wreaths may be placed during the Ceremony. All wreaths are placed immediately following the Ceremony, as we ask our younger, and able-bodied folks to head out to the furthermost sections of the Cemetery, so that our older and least mobile folks are able to place a wreath, closer to the Memorial.

Youth Groups who have pre-registered, should pick up certificates and patches before the Ceremony, at a table just inside the PA Veterans Memorial.

Large passenger buses should use Biddle Road to enter, dropping passengers in the circle at the Memorial, and then heading out to one of the shuttle bus lots.

Also happening on Saturday, December 14, is a Candle Light Service at 4:30 pm, at the PA Veterans Memorial. Come out and share your Hero's story. Parking will be available on the Cemetery for this Ceremony. We suggest after placing wreaths, getting your car, enjoying a bit to eat in the area, and coming back for this beautiful Candle Light Service.
