Fort Mifflin’s Scout Camping program is a real “Soldier Life” experience!

All Pack 296 cub scouts are invited to attend free of charge. A parent/guardian is required for each cub scout. If you have multiple cub scouts attending you only need one parent/guaradian. Parent/Guardian costs $51 and must be paid in advance. Please register each scout and parent/guardian individually so we have an accurate count.

You will be housed in the Fort’s historic buildings. There are five double-decker Civil War reproduction bunks and additional wooden sleeping pallets. For your comfort you are welcome to bring air mattresses (electric in all rooms) and/or your own cots. If you prefer, you can tent inside the Fort walls or in the Picnic Area. Rest rooms are available inside the Fort, but no showers.

Your visit includes the following:
ï‚· Lowering the Colors at dusk & Raising the Colors in the morning
ï‚· Ghost Tour on Friday Night
ï‚· Breakfast on Saturday
ï‚· Education Program on Saturday
ï‚· Guided tour by an interpretive guide on Saturday
ï‚· Uniform, weapons and cannon demonstrations.
ï‚· A Fort Mifflin theme scavenger hunt
ï‚· Use of kitchen facilities with cooking utensils & dining area (you supply plates, cups, utensils, napkins)
ï‚· Opportunity to visit the Gift Shop (many small souvenir items priced $5 and below)
ï‚· Fort Mifflin staff onsite at all times

Cub Scouts may arrive at Fort Mifflin on Friday anytime after 5pm. Dinner will not be served on Friday and you should eat prior to arrival.

If you will be arriving late please notify Rich Cardamone so that coordination can be made with the fort security. Late arrivals are permitted until 10pm.

Activities will wrap up around 10:30am on Saturday and you are able to tour the fort on your own through the afternoon.
