1st Day of School Coffee/Donuts: August 18, 2026
Fall Festival - Saturday, September 19, 2026
One of our big fall family events.
The committee helps plan and coordinate the Fall Festival, organize activities, and coordinate volunteers for setup, the event itself, and cleanup.
Trunk or Treat - Friday, October 31, 2026
This is an outdoor event in the school parking lot. Families can choose to decorate their car and pass out treats or if they don't plan to decorate their asked to provide extra treats. Prizes for best costume and trunk.
Cookies with Santa - Sunday, November 29, 2026
Photos with Santa, cookies and fun activities.
Mother/Son Event - January 2027
A fun event for St. Agnes moms and sons.
The committee helps choose and coordinate the activity or venue, plan event logistics, and organize the volunteers needed to make it happen
Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, March 20, 2027
The Easter Egg Hunt is run by Mothers of Young Children (MOYC).
There are opportunities for parents to get involved with MOYC and help put on the egg hunt, including setup, activities, and other event needs.
VIP Day: Wednesday, March 24, 2027
Help support the school's Grandparents / VIP Day.
Specific volunteer needs will be shared as the event gets closer.
Rams Reaching Out Day: Friday, April 30, 2027
Rams Reaching Out Day, or RRO, is our school-wide day of service.
All grade levels, including preschool, partner with Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas for a day of service benefiting the Greater Kansas City community.
The day begins with All School Mass followed by service activities coordinated by grade level. Parent volunteers are needed throughout the day and must be VIRTUS trained.
New Family Orientation - TBD
An event for new families attending St. Agnes.
Fall and Spring Book Fair: Fall: Around September 21, tentative Spring: TBD
The Book Fair committee helps with both the fall and spring book fairs.
Volunteers help with setup, the fair itself, and other needs that help everything run smoothly.
Hospitality committee: needed throughout the year
Hospitality helps provide food, snacks, and refreshments for PTO and school events throughout the year.
This includes:
-Back-to-School Night
-Class Christmas parties
-Catholic Schools Week
-Class Valentine's Day parties
-8th grade Confirmation reception
-Snacks and refreshments for other PTO events as needed
The committee helps purchase or order what is needed within the PTO budget, get items where they need to go, and submit receipts for reimbursement.
Staff Appreciation Committee
Help us show our appreciation for St. Agnes teachers and staff throughout the school year.
This includes things like:
- Stock the Lounge
-Parent-Teacher Conference dinner
-Staff appreciation lunches
-Catholic Schools Week teacher lunch
-Administrative Professionals Day
-Nurses Day
-Teacher Appreciation Day
Volunteers help coordinate food, treats, supplies, and other appreciation activities within the PTO budget.
Service Hours: throughout the year
Our goal is to offer St. Agnes middle school families community service opportunities each quarter.
The committee helps find service opportunities in the Greater Kansas City community, coordinate details with partner organizations, determine age requirements, and share opportunities with St. Agnes families.
Many opportunities are geared toward our middle school students because of volunteer age requirements and the service hour requirements. Depending on the organization, younger students may also be able to participate with a parent.
Opportunities may include:
-Food banks and food distribution
-Catholic Charities programs
-Family service projects
-Community organizations
-Other ways for students and families to serve together
Uniform exchange Committee: throughout the year
Help organize the St. Agnes Used Uniform Exchange so families can pass along uniforms their children have outgrown and find uniforms they need.
Volunteers help collect, sort, organize, and distribute uniforms during exchange dates.
Fundraising nights: Throughout the year, usually about once a month
Help coordinate fundraising partnerships with local restaurants and businesses.
This includes scheduling fundraising dates, coordinating details with participating businesses, helping get information out to St. Agnes families, and following up after each fundraiser.
End-of-School Picnic: May, date TBD
The End-of-School Picnic is organized in conjunction with the Dad's Club and gives St. Agnes families a chance to celebrate the end of the school year together.
