Gale Martin, one of our April speakers, will host a field trip at her native plant nursery. Gale has an extensive background in growing native plants and is a strong advocate of growing local ecotypes in order to preserve genetics from this eco-region. The majority of Natives in Harmony plants are sold as plugs, but other sizes are available. If buying plugs, there is a discount for purchasing a full flat, 32 plugs.
Maps will get you there, however from 61 we usually take Prospect Mt. Vernon Rd (east) to Bennington-Harmony-Central (north) to Penlan (Twp Rd 179). If you take Olive Green Marengo Fulton Road north, there’s a stretch of Penlan road that’s gravel.
